Surprised by the great information on how IA influenced aviation. Docents were very friendly and pointed out some of their more interesting documents. I saw them interact well with kids too.
Great museum. A labor of love restoring historic commercial aviation planes. Well worth a visit.
This is a very quiet and quaint operation - don't expect anything too grand...but you will find a great deal of information with 'Iowa nice' treatment at a bargain price.
Great value for anyone interested in aviation. There is an impressive amount of information on Iowans in aviation from the early days at the turn of the 20th century to the present. There is a hangar with a number of vintage aircraft and information around 'famous plane crashes' that have taken place in the state.
Thank you for sharing Iowa's rich aviation history with our Civil Air Patrol Squadron from Atlantic this weekend. Very nice facility, displays, material... So much to see and learn we will be back.
Nice little museum on aviation history. A good selection of vintage/antique aircraft to look at. Extensive history of aviation in Iowa. Knowledgeable staff on hand to ask questions.
There is an Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame and library in the back of the hangar with racks of books, reference materials, and videos for perusal or research.
